Hi everyone-
This is a shot of Kai being comforted by his grandmother. He is in and out of wakefulness, not a whole lot different from his normal baby behavior. The nurses are doing a great job of keeping him comfortable here. He just has his IV for delicious dextrose, antibiotics, and pain meds, as well as a tube that drains his surgical scar, which is hardly discharging anymore. So we can pick him up and hold him now. Haven't tried that yet but we will soon. As far as food, he likely will have to wait several more days, that is up to his surgeon.
I'm glad to see Kai looking so good! Tell him that Aunt Annie says to keep doing so great at recovery. I loved the video in the earlier post.
