Now comes the tricky part- recovery

The surgery went well. Kai's doctor said it was about as straightforward as they ever are. He didn't need any blood, which is hard to believe considering all the work they did on his tummy. He does have a breathing tube, another tube to his stomach, three IV's, and two other lines that would make you grimace if I described them. It's kind of sad looking at him right now, so we will take a picture in a day or two once they remove most of those. He's getting a little morphine now which seems to take the edge off quite a bit.
