We came to the clinic again for a check up today. Dr. Book decided it was time to keep Kai in the hospital for continual observation. We had been planning on doing a living donor at the end of July, but we just got word that they are going to try to do it this coming week. We are very glad that it is happening so quickly but we are also quite nervous. Kai's Grandma and Grandpa Hoffman were out for a visit along with his aunt Anne, Juan and cousin Dino. We are very glad Kai got a chance to meet everyone before this surgery. It was nice for the guys to do man stuff like build a patio and go fishing since Paul's recovery may take a while. We'll keep you posted, thanks for your encouragement!
Wow I didn't realize you were getting so close to transplant. Kai, Paul and your whole family will be in our prayers this next week. The other side of transplant has been great to us and I am sure it will be for you too.
ReplyDeleteBest of Luck,
Erica
We have you in our prayers as well. We're so glad your wait is going to be over soon and that you're in such good hands. All our love, Toni and Rob
