We finally made it out of the PICU and are enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the Immune Compromised unit. Kai had his abdomen closed up today. Hopefully for good. Now we just have to need wait for his Prograf levels (anti-rejection medicine) to get tweaked to the right spot. He is getting back to his active cheerful self, so knock on wood that this continues.
Thank you so much to our friends and family who have gone out of their way to help remind us there is life outside the hospital.
